Sad Day With Santa...

First pictures with Santa were unsuccessful! Maybe next year will be better? Even the sucker didn't help... but Santa was a trooper!
(I may be a mean mom... but i think this picture is priceless!)

11 months!

Yes, this little muffin is now 11 months.... she is on her way to her first birthday! It is sad to see it go by so fast. Until you are a parent yourself, you will never fully understand what your parents meant by this! Emma is such a joy... we love her more than words can say... she is angelic, sassy, happy, energetic, and truly a blessing to be around. We love our little bug! (and yes... we finally got a new camera!)

Family Photos...

We are so thankful for our dear friend Dawn Adams! She has been such a blessing to us. She has now taken a second set of pictures for us (the first were Emma's 6 month). She has her own photography company and does amazing work. She thrives on catching candid moments which is what we love so much about her pictures. The best pictures are rarely the ones that are "posed." We met her in La Jolla for a family photo session one weekend. Emma was not in the greatest mood, the sun was bright, it was getting hot, and Yahtzee was going bananas... here are just a few, and Dawn, we will never be able to thank you enough for this!

ahhh, such an angelic face. i love this picture of her.

This happens to be my favorite of the day!and i must note how thankful we were to have her here... we could not have gotten through the day without her! Thanks grandma!

A weekend with friends

Last weekend we flew to Santa Cruz to stay with Tori and Ben. I will start by saying we truly had a fantastic weekend. It started just right... Mexican food the first night, a bakery (with the best cinnamon roll) the next morning. These two know how to please! I was so into my cinnamon roll (along with all the other baked goods) that i forgot to pull out my camera! Everything we did made the weekend more perfect... candy shops, downtown, delicious sandwiches, fish and chips on the wharf, surf competitions, great weather, Carmel... where we found the BEST cookies, and a beautiful home to stay in! We cannot thank these two enough! We will surely be back to visit...

this is a view from their deck. i can assure you it would never get old!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful weekend!

New Trick...

Look how time flies... I forgot our bugs 10th month! It has come (and almost gone). So sad. But this is just one thing it brought with it!

Halloween festivities...and our little lady!

This year was much different than years past... our Halloween started much earlier with pumpkin patches, decorations, costume purchasing, and making sure we had enough candy for the trick or treaters. All in all we had a wonderful Halloween (season).

our Emma "bug" as well call her enjoying her first sucker... her mothers daughter!

These two have no choice... they are going to be best buddies!

(Again... pics got a little backwards... I'm really not good at this!)

pictures to follow... promise!

Halloween came and went and it is already November... where does time go? Emma is fast approaching her 11th month of life and we can't seem to find anything to slow the time down! Quick recap... I promise pictures will be up early next week!

Emma was a lady bug for Halloween, and a very cute one I may add. She is crawling everywhere... I can't keep up with her. She is scaling the walls, couches, tables, and attempting the stairs until I can run over and grab her down (please help!). There have already been quite a few bumps and bruises. We leave tomorrow for Santa Cruz to see Tori and Ben (we are so excited). I promise to show Emma crawling, family photos, Halloween, and our trip as soon as we get back... I'm just getting a little behind and trying to keep up with our little ball of energy here!
